SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Sprenkle Drive

My wife has been a resident of this nursing center since March, 2025. In contrast to some of the reviews posted here, our experience has been very positive. The staff, almost without exception, are kind, friendly and helpful. They have a good care plan for my wife and keep me informed about her progress. Best of all, the staff really seems to care about her as a person. I meet her for supper every day and I feel the food is good; their roast beef is wonderful. I would highly recommend this facility.

Not enough staff, you literally have to trapse through the entire building to find someone to help you. I was informed housekeeping is 2nd shift so residents bathroom trashcan, including those who are suffer incontinence, the trash waits til the afternoon. Unless a first shift aid takes it upon herself to empty the trash. Otherwise it sits there Smelling up the whole apartment.

Stay away from this place. Although there are many nurses and CNA's who work to give the residents the care they need and deserve, many times their hands are tied due to budget cuts. The senior leadership team doesn't acknowledge concerns, and they don't fix the issues. Cold, nasty food is an everyday occurrence. The only thing management cares about is filling the beds, without any real concern or care about the residents.

The assisted living area of this facility is deplorable and that's generous. Meals were served cold, problems never addressed, and a loved one with mild dementia was reprimanded for not wearing an alert. The management looks the other way and the state had to get involved when illness swept through this place like a wildfire for THREE months. Do NOT put anyone you care for here.

I honestly need a negative 5 stars. If you or your loved one needs skilled rehab to recover from an injury stay far away especially if they have Alzheimer’s. My mom wasn't there 5 days before they determined there was nothing they could do for her and pushed to deny her medical benefits and try and force self pay at their exorbitant fees. It doesn't stop there, the so called doctor that services the facility almost killed my mom when they decided to take her off of the diuretic that was keeping her congestive heart disease in check. I went to visit her one day and she was wheezing so badly yet they didn't notice. This facility is staffed with inept people that do not care about your loved ones.
