They got great late model Ford F-150s and Ford Explorer. No cars are more than 5 years old and are well looked after. Great think is they are rented at the same location as the Aurora inn which is also the best hotel in town.
Book in advance. I almost didn't and would have been beat by a random group of birders . ALWAYS RENT A CAR IN NOME WHEN AVAILABLE. Stampede is located in the hotel. They are friendly and nice. A little expensive for a rental imo but you're in nome so you dont have any other options lol
Really not a lot of options but the car was everything it needed to be and it had a real spare in the tray. Something I found out was very much needed on the roads around Nome.
