Star Smog Check Santa Clara

Went in and out in a total of ~20 minutes, quick and simple. Cert was $10. Best way to check the price (w/ or w/o Groupon) is to just call them.

I have a 2018 Prius C in excellent condition. The technician had a lot of trouble popping the hood and ended up breaking the cable thing and showed me the cable dangling. I had to take my car to the dealership to get it fixed on Christmas eve. It took about an hour to fix. Because of the holiday spired they only charged me $45. I called Star Smog and the owner and left message a couple of times. No one called me back ever. So I filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair and a representative called Star Smog for me. Star Smog refused to reimburse me for the time it took me to find an organization that would take their call and the 90 minutes it took me to drive to the dealership and wait for repairs. They work till 5pm!!! They didn't change time on site. They didn't take vouchers from Groupon if you printed it. You need use app. Groupon said they must take printed voucher. I spent time and gas for nothing!!!

Overall pretty quick and simple experience. HOWEVER, when he tries to charges $10 for certification, do ask about it and be stern about it. He is trying to overcharge you, it should be $8.25, kinda shady imo.
