Starling at Nocatee Independent Living

My dad has been with Starling since it opened. He is truly living his best life! He is healthier and happier now than when he first moved in! The chef prepares an outstanding menu with great variety. The activities are plentiful with many exercise classes to choose from. Entertainment, outings, service to stores, churches, dr appointments etc., you name it Starling has it! My dad has made so many good friends there that he truly feels living at Starling Independent Living is “home”! The Staff goes above and beyond to make sure every resident’s experience exceeds their expectations.

I moved to Florida in 2021 and I settled in at Starling Independent Living of Nocatee. Starling IL is a beautiful community and has all the amenities that I need. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Personally, I love the music and the entertainment that they have weekly at Starling. The bands, solo singers and piano players, etc. I also do activities like, Bingo, Trivia and Charades. The movies are also great! They have holidays parties and community events all the time. I have a beautiful view of the pool and patio area. I love living at Starling and I would recommend Starling Living to anyone!

Excellent experience with Nocatee Independent Living. My Mom is 92 and we moved her from Savannah into Nocatee Independent Living. Kerri Dufour, the Regional Sales Director made this an easy process. Kerri did a great job of keeping us informed throughout the process, answered all of our questions in detail and she is an excellent representative for her company. She is professional , exhibits a genuine positive attitude, has excellent communication skills and knows the business inside out. We also had positive experiences with -Charles - the Executive Director who was always available when needed and made the transition over to Assisted Living easy for my Mom. - Ashley - the Resident Services Director who made us all feel welcome day 1. I will never forget how the Starling community welcomed my father with open arms. The residents quickly embraced him, a 90-year-old widower who had been reluctant to move here from California, and made him part of their family. Every time someone would stop me in the hallway and tell me how he was doing, their words would touch my heart. The residents are simply lovely - we appreciated when neighbors shared their homemade pot roast, lent a good book, joined him for breakfast so he would not sit alone, and climbed the stairs to the top of the St. Augustine lighthouse with him. My mother's experience living at Starling IL was fabulous! Kerri Dufour, the director, and her staff treated my mom like family. They addressed any issues that came up with great tenderness and care. There was not a day that went by that did not have a plethora of fun and engaging activities for mom. Kudos also to chef and waitstaff, the menus were creative and delicious. I highly recommend Starling for anyone looking for an all inclusive 55+ community.
