Excellent customer service and they truly go out of their way to help people. They have very knowledgeable workers and have always stood by their work. They've been keeping all of my vehicles running for 30+ years using only quality products and parts. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vehicles!

The people here are prompt, honest, helpful, informative, and fair. I highly recommend this shop for anything your car may need. The owner helped me the day I called and gave me good tips and helped me make an informed decision. It left such a good impression I was moved to write this review! Thank you Sternquist!

I was traveling from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Anita, Iowa to look after my 91-year old dad. He has outpatient surgery tomorrow and needs someone with him. On my way I ran over something in the road. I noticed a thump under the car but it seemed to be running fine and I noticed no strange noises. As I pulled off the road for a pit stop in Boone I noticed the scraping sound. A panel under the front bumper had come loose and was occasionally scraping on the ground. I made my way to Sternquist Garage & Tire where they quickly got the panel screwed back in place at no charge to me. They said I had enough to worry about caring for my dad. They even said they'd pray for my dad. I greatly appreciate their kindness and skill. I highly recommend them to take care of you car needs.

Never again, and I wish it hadn't come to this. Used to love bringing my truck here, and I trusted Sternquist anytime there was a problem with any of our vehicles. That is until an error during an oil change on my 2020 Tundra left me in limp mode on the interstate. I was able to limp it into the dealership where it was purchased. The next day the dealership informed me that a piece was missing, most likely from the most recent oil change. As a result the oil filter collapsed, starved the engine of oil, and resulted in metal being found in the oil. Long story short, it needs a new engine. When I informed the owner, Don, of the issue, he immediately denied that his shop had made a mistake, despite the oil change happening less than a week prior to the issue. We were traveling through Iowa and had a flat tire right a way in the morning. Found Sternquist Garage online and called. Don said to bring it out and they would be happy to fix! His team of Jason and Spencer were speedy and thorough! So very very thankful to have found this place! Excellent service and personable! Boone IA is lucky to have them!
