This was hands down my best experience with an auto repair shop ever! I was on a road trip coming from Florida and I was having issues with the manual transmission in my 93 Civic leaking oil while passing through Kankakee IL. Having changed the front axles before the trip, it turns out I nicked the oil seal in the transaxle while installing the new axles. Having been on a very tight college kid budget, I couldn't afford much in the way of repairs. I managed to find the one specific part I needed at a local Honda dealership and I called Stevenson Auto to ask if they could simply take my provided part and install it. We broke down traveling through Kankakee in a 1969 Chevy pickup. I called Stevenson on a recommendation from a competitor. They made a special effort to get us in and diagnosed as soon as possible. We had to wait a few days for a part to be delivered. While they were waiting, they did everything they could without having the part. They got it done the day the part arrived. Our truck performed flawlessly the rest of our trip. I appreciate the honesty and fair prices for the excellent work they do. Thank you, Bill Stevenson, for all that you did. I went there earlier this week to get a quote for a fuel line. Bill told me that he was booked for the next 2 weeks. When he seen how bad it was, he fit me in on that coming Friday. He came recommended from a coworker. Excellent work!!! I couldn't be more happier. Thank you Bill!!!

My parents started using Stevenson years ago and always had the best experiences. For years now I have been purchasing the Car Care Club card. Not only does it make getting oil changes so much easier but has come in so handy. Not only is their work high quality, but their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. There’s no surprises and best of all no BS. They are always my go to if I have any issues or concerns; and most definitely the first shop I recommend to friends and family. Now that my son has his first vehicle, he will be getting a Car Care Club card also and having his vehicle checked out by the areas most trustworthy, caring, and knowledgeable staff. Recently I had some work done on my 1966 Ford Mustang at Stevenson Auto Repair in Kankakee. The work and service were great! I have also gone to Stevenson's for my daily driver and the result was the same ... the work and service were great! I have used Stevenson's over the years and I highly recommend them for their dedication to the customer. This place is very honest! I drive about an hour to obtain their services, and it is well worth it!
