This was my first time here (bc it was listed as the closest location for an emissions test). As I only need an emissions test, I thought I'd give this place a try. The person at the desk was less than welcoming. He was just matter-of-fact/ straightforward. Not friendly at all. I asked how long it would take & the gentleman said about 30 minutes. I waited in there waiting area (a very short distance from where u check your vehicle in / on the other side of the parking lot). They provided coffee, tea, water, and a TV to watch while I waited. My car was done in about 30 minutes. The gentleman who came to tell me my car was done, he was extremely nice, extremely kind, very gentlemanly like - even opened the door for me. Good luck servicing your car here. I came in for a full emissions diagnostic and clearly explained everything — including all prior tests already performed — so they could properly target the issue and run the necessary tests. Instead, they came back with the exact same information I already gave them, providing zero new insight. They performed inspections completely unrelated to the engine or emissions (dent, tail lamp, front brakes, suspension, etc.), which I did not ask for and did not need. They also did not perform any of the specific tests I requested, when I came back to know the result they asked me to pay another $193.48 to run the very tests I originally came in for and already explained were needed. I can't recommend this shop enough. We started taking our cars here after multiple places told us that our brake problem was alignment. They were more then willing to drive my car to see what the actual problem was. Once the problem was figured out, their cost to repair was a fraction of a dealership or other repair shop. I think the thing I appreciate the most is- when they do the multi point inspection, they tell what actually needs to be done versus what can wait. Everytime I've taken my car to the dealership they recommend thousands of dollars in necessary repairs. Steve's is very honest about what is a need, and what is a wait and watch. The staff is friendly, which is also a plus. We will never not bring our cars to Steve's.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I initially brought my vehicle in to determine whether the transmission was the cause of the issue that caused my car to stop working. The vehicle remained at the shop over the weekend, and on Monday I was informed that the transmission was not the problem, but rather a different issue. The staff explained this alternative diagnosis and asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair. Based on the information provided and the understanding that this was the sole issue preventing my vehicle from functioning, I authorized the repair and paid $700. However, the following day I received another call stating that the transmission was, in fact, the problem and that my vehicle was not operable due to this issue. Friendly, efficient staff. Accommodating and professional business. Came in for a state inspection on a holiday. I was told it would be 3-4 hours (this was music to my ears as I had just came from a place who said that whether I had an appt or not I would still have to drop off my car all day) but I only had to wait a couple of hours (if that), which I really appreciated since I wanted to enjoy the rest of my day off. They did offer shuttle service but I chose to wait but I noticed a steady flow of customers that did use it. There were some suggested services that were included on my receipt. Appreciated the fact that they werent overselling them to me. The experience definitely would make me consider them for services in the future. 🫶🏽🫶🏽
