STRITE'S AUTO SERVICE

Driving from VA to Pittsburgh and my check engine light came on. Map showed 10 miles to Strite's Auto Service so I drove there. They analyzed engine right away with scanner. Showed thermostat stuck open. They test drove to confirm. They offered to replace thermostat, but also explained that it would be safe to drive rest of the way to pgh and have it fixed there if I wanted. The brothers were really kind and professional and trustworthy. Thank you!

Do not go here unless it’s a last resort. My truck broke down 2.1 miles from this shop and they charged me 166 dollars for 30 minutes of their time to use a code reader and didn’t do any other work. They claim to be a Christian establishment but took advantage of someone in a bad spot.

Our transmission was overheating, 2 hours in on our six hour road trip. The hills of Pennsylvania were not helping our situation. We drove to the nearest, what we thought was an auto “store”, luckily we stumbled upon these guys and their beautiful garage. I could tell that they worked primarily on diesel, so I was reluctant to ask if they could help out with a little Honda motor. They were able to get us a new cap for the radiator that fixed the coolant pressure issue, as well as provide the coolant. They also managed to hook us up with new trans fluid after topping that off as well. If we didn’t go to that specific store we might not have made it the rest of the way. Luckily, thanks to their top notch service, we made it to Ohio and were on our way back with what seems to be no issue. I w

Almost immediately you are made to feel welcomed. Two hours into our road trip in my 97 Jeep Wrangler my wife noticed smoke. From Mt. Airey to Hagerstown no one would help. When I started losing oil pressure my wife found Strite's. As we pulled in with 0 pressure the team stopped and gave us their full attention. What I suspected was the oil pan turned out to be a bad valve cover gasket. Even gave us oil to continue on our way to MI (since part stores may not have been so readily available should we need one). Made it there and back home to MD with 3 missed calls from Travis- and he just wanted to know if we made it. My only complaint is that I am not closer to this shop. These three young men know what they are doing and and have restored my faith in humanity!

Strites fixed our truck quickly and reasonably priced! Guys were beyond nice and when I told them our concerns on getting it back on the road for business, they rushed it and got it done the next day! Recommend for all your diesel issues!
