I decided to bring my 2013 Outback 2.5 with 170k miles to Subie Independent - based on reputation alone - for major repairs including head gasket, radiator and catalytic converter. I was not disappointed! Mark and his team have been extremely professional, gracious, flexible, and very fair in their pricing. Mark even helped me out with some little extras, like replacing a couple exterior light bulbs. I am so glad that I found Subie Independent and now I can look forward to many more road trips knowing that me and my car are being well cared for by a team of true professionals! These guys are top notch. My daughter's Forester's headlights both went out within the same week. She called Subie and they told her to bring it down. She got there and they stopped what they were working on, popped the hood, put in new bulbs and she was on her way. Really good guys that don't take advantage of people.

I genuinely love these guys. I’ve had to fight the impulse to actually hug them more than once (it’s weird to hug your mechanic, right?). Several times I’ve gone in bracing myself to pay thousands and I’ve walked out spending less than the uber there. I’d even go so far as to say that anyone who’s left them a bad review is probably not a great person in general and should be treated with suspicion. It sounds over the top, but that’s how good they are.

I was so excited to bring my car to the shop for the first time. But the conversation on the phone with Mark was not great… He was condescending and rude, and when I requested that he speak to me more honorably he went off on me. I definitely do not recommend this shop. Especially if you’re a female and you want to be spoken to with any level of respect.
