Sunrise at Hunter Mill

Nice facility, attentive staff. I feel comfortable entrusting my mothers care to this facility. Yes, it's expensive, but elderly care is expensive in general. Sunrise at Hunter Mill is aligned with the rest of the industry in terms of cost. It's a friendly environment, that has nice weekly activities. Holiday outings are fun and the entire family is invited.

My wife has been at Sunrise of Hunter Mill the past 2 months and it has been a tremendous blessing for us. The Staff, Therapists, nurses and AIDS are all Diligent and extremely caring and gentle - The residents are friendly and it's like family - The food is really good too. Also lots of fun and helpful activities each day with celebrations on various holidays and many volunteers and others coming in like students sharing their talents and others as well for singalongs ( with Randy) and weekly worship services - Pastor Doug We really enjoy Sunrise and glad my wife can be here We are thankful and blessed and Thank Isha and the entire Sunrise team 👍🙏❤️😎

We are so happy with the care mom is receiving in the memory care unit at Sunrise at Hunter Mill. The management, caregivers, nurses and staff that care for her are kind, patient, respectful and compassionate. We visit mom often and see she feels safe and comfortable. During mom’s first few weeks at Sunrise, the staff created a detailed, personalized care plan to help her transition into her new home away from home. We received daily updates, and they welcomed our questions and answered them fully. After three months, mom is doing so well. From the moment we walked into Sunrise Hunter Mill we knew it would be a wonderful place for our mom to live. We were greeted with sunny smiles, a warm environment, upbeat music, and an abundance of activity for the residents. Our mom had dementia. As the disease progressed the staff at Sunrise educated us and worked with us through the transition of Assisted Living to the Reminiscence Level. Without their expertise we would have been so lost. The transition to the Reminiscence level was seamless after a well thought out and formulated plan to execute the move. 6 years ago my son asked me if I would like to go to Sunrise Hunter Mill. Lyndsay and Joe ,  picked  this place from a friends advice. I was hesitant before but I’m glad I said yes because over the last years has been difficult for me and a big help to me from the care team . I had never painted before for the first time in my life I painted here at Hunter Mill with the help of the AVC. In 2021 Hazel asked me if I want to have my own exhibit to show all my artworks and share it with the Residents. I enjoyed arts and crafts and I believe Hunter Mill will make a good place for most people in their older age. I appreciate all the Team and caregivers in this community.
