Sunrise at Mount Vernon

I cannot say enough positive things about my and my mother’s experience at Sunrise Mt Vernon. My mother and I were in a very difficult situation with her late stage dementia. I was so stressed at that point. The people at Sunrise were absolutely above and beyond. John KNestrick, director of Sales moved mountains to get my mother into their memory care unit. He worked overtime, answered calls on his days off, and truly saved me from imploding as her only caretaker. The staff in the memory care unit were amazing. They actually truly cared. All of them have worked there for many years which tells you something. Special shout out to Esther one of my mother’s caretakers and Valerie the activities director. The staff at Sunrise at Mount Vernon are the most skilled and compassionate professionals our family has encountered while caring for my mother with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Following a hospitalization, the respite care, activities (bingo, and much more), and friendships my mother developed were crucial to her recovery. She is stronger now because of her month there. A special thank you to Sadia, Tanya, Star, Esther, and Valerie, and the incredible REM1 team. We look forward to return visits to see new friends and catch up with the staff!❤️😊

My Mom and I recently toured the Sunrise at Mount Vernon, which is a lovely serene and well maintained property tucked away in a quiet community. Thank you so much, Sadia Ali for your warm welcome and wonderfully informative tour! We loved touring the resident apartments, and exploring the variety of warm and inviting common areas; as well as meeting the friendly staff and residents! it was also a special treat to meet your talented Chef and to be invited to enjoy the delicious lunch he prepared! Sunrise at Mount Vernon did an outstanding job caring for my mother during her final year of life. She lived there from December 21, 2022 through January 10, 2024. The staff was very responsive to my mother's needs, and the quality and variety of activities available to Sunrise residents is top notch. All the staff were professional, competent, service oriented, friendly, and a pleasure to interact with. After my mother died Sunrise staff were extremely supportive and helpful to me with taking care of all necessary business.
