Super Value Smog

I've been going here for years, and I've never had anything but prompt, friendly service. Don't let the looks of the location fool you; this is not a high class establishment in terms of amenities while you are waiting, but you're just getting your car smogged. It takes maybe 10 minutes. The last car I had to bring in actually failed it's smog test the first time around. In the middle of the test, my car threw an engine code and thus failed the test. I paid my fee, but they offer a free retest within 15 days. I took my car to the my mechanic, he fixed several things, and 14 days after the last test, and after putting at least 200 miles on my vehicle to reset all the electronic monitors, the vehicle passed on the retest without issue. Today at 3:25 pm 1/17/24 I pulled in and slowed to a stop when the owner's hand gestured to me. He asks without a greeting, “What year?” I say 2010, he says “2009?!, I say 2010 and he repeats “2009!” I say no 2010, he yells loudly “BE QUIET!” angrily with frustration as he looks dead into my eyes with earbuds on. I look at him in disbelief for a couple of seconds and decide to reverse my truck and leave. This all happened within the first 20 seconds of driving in to smog check my truck. I was in shock at how he treats his customers and if you’ve been here multiple times before, you know exactly what I’m talking about with his demeanor. Fast, easy, and well priced. Just make sure that you know how to release the hood. He will not help you and is not cool about waiting for you to figure it out.

This is a no-nonsense place he is very efficient and gets the job done quickly and out of more than fair price. I've been going to him for years.

Worst customer experience ever. LOL. We waited 1 hour in line, only for this guy to say that he couldn’t (wouldn’t? idk) do it for us. When we asked him what was going on, he just started yelling “PEDRO’S SMOG CHECK!” “GO TO PEDRO’S!!” super angrily. He was so angry for no reason, it was actually shocking. My dad and I were in such disbelief, we didn’t know what to do or what was even happening. As we were driving out of the yard, he blew up at us again for getting dried leaves on the ground. Quote, “Why do you have leaves in my shop!?” Which is super bizarre, since we weren’t inside his actual shop , and I don’t know why leaves on a dirt ground would set him off. We offered to clean it, but he didn’t seem to want us to, so we decided to leave for Pedro’s instead. Long story short: Huge
