Take 5 Oil Change

I got an oil change and several other things here. I usually only go to Ramses in Oakcliff but for some reason decided to go local. The customer service was good. Everything was okay, until it wasn’t. I personally had to reset the oil myself because they forgot? My car had driven once after the oil change for two weeks. Day two, my car keeps beeping and this msg keeps going off. This did not happen until after being fully serviced. About a month went by before I could bring it back to them due to a family loss, but the car was still sitting during this time. I brought the car back, they willingly inspected. But could not find a problem and suggested I take my vehicle to the dealership… love that for me.

I went to the take 5 oil change today between 8-9am this morning, on 2/19/2026. The manager on duty and his employee (i wasnt able to catch names) greeted and did my oik change along with offering me soem air filters and a coolant flush (which i declined the flush, purchased the air filters, silly me) and went about my way. Only to find out these employees damaged my oil pan bolt or oil pan and now it needs to be replaced completely, which is looking around close to another $1000. When I arrived back at the location, the manager swears that my car was already leaking and typed up some code in his computer and shoved the paper in my face, claiming that they explained this to me before handed that they shouldn’t have done the oil change, but did anyway. 1. Edit: this is the second review I’ve had to write since the first one “disappeared” Kept trying to sell me everything they could try to get more money squeezed out of my wallet. When I told them I did not want to pay $100+ for coolant they said they’d wait for me to make my decision, then proceeded to sit and do nothing to my car for 20 mins staring at me. Then when I asked if they were done, the man stared and said he was waiting for me to say yes. Also, my car was not dented when I went in and magically after I decline their services a nasty dent appears…

The tech took a while to put my skid plate back on. I asked if they were having trouble and they just told me that they were just taking extra time to make sure the skid plate was on correctly so it doesn't drag. Turned out the skid plate was not put on correctly at all and apparently ended up missing some clips that were on originally. Completely screwed it up after 10 minutes of driving. Sounded like i was towing a frying pan. I dont like to complain, but if the techs arent confident in their work, I would way rather them tell me and get someone else to help than to just sending me on my way knowing they didnt know exactly what they were doing. This location wasn't worth it at all.

Wonderful service. I came in close to closing time unfortunately and was greeted with kindness and friendliness. The staff was incredible. Khalil and Parker were absolutely wonderful - they took really good care of me. They even educated me on some things that I wasn’t aware of to make the oil they put in there last longer. Very very helpful. Valvoline couldn’t hold a candle. I got so much more for my money hear.
