Take 5 Oil Change

Joshua and Julio were amazing.i didn’t get the other gentleman’s name though who brought me a bottle of water while I waited. Their vibe was amazing. Very communicative on everything. I had Josh check my coolant as well; without any hesitation he checked and explained to me the logistics of the when my next coolant flush is recommended. Very good experience for it being my first time there. I’ll definitely be going back.

Vehicle taken in for oil change on 11/17/25. They opened the garage for me to leave and handed me paperwork. I turned the vehicle on and the check engine light and warning lights illuminated on the dash. The technician said he would check tire pressure. After he finished checking the first tire the vehicles "low engine oil" light displayed on the dash. Technician said to leave the vehicle running. Vehicle ran for approximately 10 minutes before they realized they failed to replace engine oil. District manager and store manager have been of little help. This is a franchise location so the corporate number is unable to help except say that the owner of this location will contact me, which has still not happened. Vehicle is currently undrivable and at a mechanic shop.

I had a van full of kids and was able to pull in, get my oil, air filter, and coolant changed/exchanged, all in less than an hour. The techs were easy to talk to and didn't push unwanted or unnecessary services on us. They even replaced my drain plug for free after noticing it had a washer welded on.. Thank you take 5, we will be back!

It was my first visit to a Take 5. I am on an extended road trip so wasn’t able to have my usual mechanic change my oil. I was impressed. Very friendly and courteous. They don’t just do oil changes. They checked my tires, wiper blades, windshield washer fluid, air filter, and tested my antifreeze. My air filter was dirty so they replaced that. All my information and the service they performed were entered into their computer system so no matter where I’m at, they can access the car’s service history. They explained my bill to me, offered a military discount, and cleaned my windshield before I left. What I really liked was that you sit in your car while 2-3 staff work on your car simultaneously, then they check each other’s work to make sure nothing was overlooked, such as making sure the

I had a great experience at Take 5 Oil Change off Southern in Rio Rancho. The staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming from the moment I pulled in. They explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and never made me feel pressured. The service was quick and efficient, and I really appreciated being able to stay in my truck the entire time. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do and truly cares about their customers.
