Terrible Herbst Lube & Smog

I've been doing my oil changes at terrible for more than 20 years. Recently terrible sold out there lube and inspection to Valvoline. The oil change service is now horrible. They no longer check battery fluid, or air filters. No more coupons for 10 % off. And the free car wash is gone. So much for customer loyalty. It's all about the money! I'll be looking elsewhere for my next oil change.

The last time I got an oil change (before my most recent one), I always came to Terrible Herbst because of the car wash deal and their reasonable prices. Well, now their oil changes START at $41.95, so that is what first annoyed me when I went to get my oil changed on 06/02. However, I still chose to do it there because it was hot and my car doesn't currently have A/C and I just wanted it over with. So I tell the guy I'll do it here anyway. They take my keys and pull the car in and I chill inside the reception area. I watch as they pop the hood and spend a good few minutes attempting to actually open the thing. I am incredibly happy with my service today. Wesley, Robert, Leon and their awesome manager Cathy treated me with courteous efficient and expert care today. They have a customer for life! Bravo!!!

called in to see if they were open for the day and I got connected to somebody who did not work at the store. the person on the phone then confirmed that they would be able to do a smog check. I hung up and went to the store. As I get to the store they tell me they're not doing smog checks. Basically a wasted trip and nobody knew what was going on.

We have been going here for the past 14 years or so. Always gets the job done, never had any issues with their work. Can be a little pricey at times but I find it worth it because my car is going some place I can trust.
