The Cortland Howell

I toured the Cortland earlier today with a lovely lady named Cindy with over 40 years nursing experience. Although Cindy is not currently a nurse, she works their part-time. The tour was informative, the units were clean. I loved I was there as they were about ready to serve lunch. The residents appeared happy and anxiously awaiting their prepped meal. Although the administrator was indisposed on a business call, I was able to text her during my visit and she promptly replied with any and every question I had. I also candidly spoke with several employees who were attending to their duties. One in housekeeping that has been there for 3 years and was very pleasant. I anxiously await the next steps for my 99-year-old grandmother to potentially move her in when the time comes.

Upon entering this beautiful assisted living, I was immediately struck by the warm and cozy atmosphere. I would particularly like to commend Amy, Jhordan, and Brittney for their exceptional customer service and genuine care for the residents. There is a wonderful feeling of family. Furthermore, Chef Paul's culinary skills are truly noteworthy, providing a five-star dining experience with remarkably fresh and homemade food.

My mother has been there for 2 months now. As a first timer having to make a tough decision at the time I had no idea what to expect. All I can say is that I am very happy with making mom a resident here. The whole staff is phenomenal. They truly care of the residents that they are assisting. Good communication, good food with a nice variety in the menu, clean facility, variety of activities daily. Kudos to Carol and her team!

It has been my experience that The Cortland Howell employees are very friendly & caring starting with the receptionists at the front door, to the Maintenance Director, to the nursing staff, the administrative employees, the culinary and the Life Enrichment Director. They each have a heart for the residents. Thank you all for taking care of our loved ones!
