I see all these five star reviews for this place and I am genuinely confused….. I needed a new (used) engine for my car. They were friendly and fairly quick in getting the work completed except (1) there was no oil in the engine when I initially went to pick up my car and I had to, inconveniently, (2) take my car back two more times to remedy oil leaks. I have no certification that the engine had the mileage they said it had. I was also never offered a loaner car nor a ride back to my home for these repeated visits. To be honest, they made me feel like I was out of line for wanting my car to run to my satisfaction after spending a lot of money. The G Shop is absolutely amazing! I needed to have my truck towed from Crested Butte to Gunnison. Edgar was so helpful and gave me a ride to The G Shop. The team explained the benefits covered in my AAA Service level and offered fair pricing. Josh and his wife were great to work with. They were able to get me back on the road that same day at a very fair price. It would have been another two days and literally four times as much at the local dealership. He'll, they even shared their di ner with me, (it was late evening and I was stuck sitting around waiting on the repair). To provide fair priced mechanic work on quick turnaround is amazing. Sharing your food with another hungry person, that right there shows unparalleled compassion! These are GOOD people. They deserve your business.

Everyone was very sweet and I appreciate that they are open on Saturdays for those who may need it! That said, I was charged $209 for a standard oil and filter change for my Subaru. This was QUITE a bit more than I’ve ever paid for an oil change, so I just wanted others to be aware that while it is convenient, it definitely may not be the most affordable!

A+++ I gotta give a huge shout out to Josh and the guys. I live in Oklahoma and was in the Gunnison area on a fly fishing trip. My 2015 Expedition started misfiring and I didn’t want to drive it 11 hours back home like that. After a solid recommendation by a gentleman named Andy, I contacted The G Shop. I was able to drop my vehicle off Monday morning, fish for 2 more days, and pick it back up on Wednesday morning and get back to Oklahoma. A 48 hour turnaround for a guy from out of town was outstanding! They replaced all 6 of my coil packs and spark plugs and didn’t overcharge a single bit. Very reasonably priced and again, they helped me out in a pinch. Awesome place and great job. Thanks guys.
