The Inn at Sarasota Bay Club

When my mom was being discharged from the hospital to a rehab, the social worker touted The Inn at Sarasota Bay club as the best. Perhaps this raised my hopes too much; I was unprepared for the lack of care an attention she received there. There was no MD or Nurse Practitioner on duty over the weekend to evaluate and provide a continuity of plan, including giving of pain medication. No one explained to my mom or me that she would not be receiving pain meds unless she requested them. Consequently, she suffered all night. Additionally, she was not allowed to get out of bed until PT evaluated the next day. She was supposed to get ice packs four times a day, which did not get ordered until the NP came on Monday. My dad stayed at the Inn for four months and the PT he received was outstanding, very impressed with Joseph and Geoff in the PT department however all the therapists were top notch. Most all of the staff were caring and seemed to enjoy working at the Inn. I was happy with the nursing care my dad received especially nurse Laura who really went above and beyond to care for my dad.

My mom needed rehab after having a serious injury. I only wish she had been able to go to The Inn! Unfortunately her insurance was not in network… I know the nurses, care team and managers there and they are second to none. I know my mom would have received the attention she needed. Great staff and therapists!

One star is too much!!! I placed my mom here for rehab and that was good 5x week. The administration staff did nothing but lie about my mom falling at rehab and breaking her ankle, they lied and were not attentive to her needs very sad for a place where they say that they have a doctor on staff and never sees you at bedside almost had to call 911 just to have the ankle looked at and xrayed!.. just a hot mess everyone on their cell phones . They never answer calls or emails medication not given for over 2 months! Don't put your loved one here that is all I have to say! They could care less about you its all about the money 💰! Administration is by far the worst I have ever delt with!!

I just spent 3 months at The Inn after a terrible auto accident and their care literally brought me back to life; I am now fully recovered. When I arrived here after the accident I was completely disabled. Through daily physical & occupational therapy I regained all function lost from the accident. The personal care teams and nurses were fantastic and the food was very good. I was well taken care of. Thank you Sarasota Bay Club!!!
