The Village of Bedford Walk

My mother has been there for several years, and it is perfect for her needs. It's just a little extra support of not worrying about multiple bills & maintenance, plus all the lunch fellowship & activities. The staff is great, but the residents are what make it wonderful for her - warm, interesting, open-hearted people attending exercise classes and parties and bridge games, etc!

Excellent community. Beautiful living space and common space. Really incredible food. The staff and residents couldn't be nicer. Jeff, who gave us our tour, was instrumental in getting my parents set up and settled in. Kelly, activities director, has consistently encouraged my parents participation in activities and events. And, finally, Miguel, the director, is on hand frequently and really shows he cares for everyone. He even came in on his day off to ensure that snow and ice were taken care of. A top notch community!

Great place for independent living, what makes it great are the friendly residents. Some of the independent living facilities we check out have the sense of being very clickish,Not so at Bedford. What we have found at Bedford that makes all the caring happen is: the management, Miguel and Jeff. They deserve a raise just for there attentiveness to the residents!

Walking through the doors at The Village of Bedford Walk always makes my day. There is delightful music playing, friendly staff to greet you and residents to visit and share stories with. Bedford Walk is not just a place to live, but a wonderful community of active and involved residents and staff. Volunteering events, Downtown Columbia visits, happy hours, Cardinals Games and potluck dinners…this crowd does it all and has fun together! I would highly recommend it to anyone 55 and older looking for a vibrant place to live.

Due to health reasons and a major home renovation, last fall, my husband (Gale) and I moved into a 1-bedroom/den unit at The Village of Bedford Walk. We have been very pleased. Their EmpowerMe physical therapist, water aerobics and Tai Chi classes, hot tub, and diverse fitness equipment have all been vital to my improved mobility. The staff, residents, and facility are all first rate. Our monthly rent includes our utilities, water, cable, internet, daily noon meal, numerous activities, transportation if needed, and much more. We’d encourage anyone needing and/or considering independent senior-living options in Mid-Missouri, to take a look at The Village of Bedford Walk. In our opinion, you won’t be disappointed.
