Gerald Thompson is one of the nicest, most genuine people I know. To say that he is friendly and honest is an understatement. He and his team go above and beyond what I would expect from customer service. I have never had a complaint about the work that I have had done at this shop, and since all of my cars are 100,000 miles plus, I usually have to go see him a couple of times per year for something. I have been using Thompson Automotive for YEARS, and would have gone somewhere else a long time ago if I had not been satisfied with their work, or felt like I was being treated in a dishonest manner.

Wow. Was to do some work on a crate motor for my father. Broke the fan shroud, didn't screw it down. Literally did not put a gasket on the water pump causing major issues that could have been catastrophic. He just wanted a good mechanic to save him time but instead we're spending hours fixing things and hoping we don't discover more issues. RSV is not a gasket for a water pump. Pics included. When my husband first started using this place, it was great. Reasonable, dependable. However, that began to change a couple of years ago. We would take a vehicle there, and they couldn't find the problem. Or they would say they fixed the problem, and it wasn't fixed. My husband took his RV there and instead of just saying "we don't want to work on your RV, even the part that is just like a normal truck", they just let it sit on the lot for a couple of weeks and said they hadn't gotten to it. My husband left some money in his car also, that disappeared. The owner indicated that he thought he knew who had taken it - and also indicated that he planned to do nothing about it. Not that we expected the money back; it was left at our own risk. But why would you want a thief working in your garag
