Thrifty Car Rental

Having read bad reviews, I was a bit worried about our upcoming car rental in Las Vegas. And I was completely wrong!! I arrived to rental office at LAS airport around 7:30 am, no customers at all just few very friendly employees. It took just 3 minutes to check-in, pay and to receive useful information about rental. Rented car was brand new, very safe and super clean. We drove approx. 600 miles in three days and no problems at all. Last day return was very smooth, nice friendly lady made a check-out quickly and with smile, receipt arrive immediately by email. To me, Thrifty in Las Vegas was great experience and will be happy to retun back. Thank you Thrifty for great customer care and fantastic experience in Vegas.

Do not rent from Thrifty in LAS airport unless you want wait over one hour just to talk to an agent. Even with 4 agents working now, two agents are working for a single party at a time. Definitely not worth it for saving a few bucks!!!

Terrible Experience from Start to Finish – Never Using Thrifty Again What an absolute nightmare. Thrifty at Las Vegas Airport is the definition of slow, disorganized, and downright shady. The line moved at a glacial pace with barely any staff helping out, and the ones who were there seemed completely untrained and indifferent. I spent over an hour just trying to get to the counter, only to be hit with surprise charges. Without asking or explaining, they sneakily added insurance to my booking — something I explicitly declined. It felt like a scam, and when I pointed it out, the rep got defensive instead of fixing it professionally. No apology, no explanation, just attitude. And then the cherry on top: the car. I was nervous to rent from Thrifty based on the reviews, but I ended up having a good experience. The line was a little bit long, but the pickup process was relatively efficient and the agent was polite and helpful. The car I received was clean, and ran well. The price was extremely fair. I would gladly rent from this Thrifty location again.

This is the worst car company I've ever used. I will never use then again. They are fraudsters. I was quoted 203 for 3 days on a compact car. When i picked up the car in Las Vegas they rented out all the compact cars. So I had to upgrade at 75 dollars a day more. I had already put a 100 dollars down. The total price for the upgrade was 363. They never credited the 100 I already put down so I ended up paying 463 for 3 days. The car was dirty. It smelled like smoke it ran like shit. I will be filing a complaint with the bbb. Thirfty car rental is the worst. Spend the extra and go with a more reputable company because at thirfty you will end paying more than enterprise and end up with a dirty smelly car. Thirfty needs to be put out of business
