Thrifty Car Rental

Heed the reviews, not a great place to rent a car. Likely it’s the same with Hertz which seems to be the same counter. We booked on Priceline for an Express Deal, their “manager special”. They insisted that the only thing they had to give us was a massive 2026 Ram 2500, but they could give us 50% off if we wanted to pay more to get another vehicle. It was me, my mom, and my 3 year old. Based on the girls bored attitude who was “helping” us, it was obviously rehearsed and a predatory tactic used regularly, as seen in other reviews. In the end, we treated it like an adventure and were fine with the vehicle. The fuel costs were a little tough to swallow but it about equaled out to the higher price we would’ve paid anyways.

Avoid this car rental company. The worst car rental place. I wish I could give them negative star. They are very unprofessional, unfriendly, unhelpful and has absolutely -100 customer service skills. The staff is awful and don’t tell you why or how much they are charging you. I rented a car from them and mentioned that I will drop off the car to early in the morning ing around 3:00 or 3:30 in the morning is there someone would be available he answered that all I need to do is to return the car to the car rental return parking spot and leave the keys in the car. Avoid Thrifty at all costs. After our flight was delayed, we proactively called Thrifty at 12:00 p.m. to confirm our reservation. We were explicitly told: “Come anytime. Your car is held for 24 hours. We will be there at 12:00 a.m.” Relying on that information, we arrived to find the location closed, with no staff available. We later discovered that all Thrifty offices nationwide were closed at that hour. Because of Thrifty’s misinformation, we were forced to pay $85 for an Uber to our hotel in Marietta, CA. The next day, Thrifty wanted us to spend another $105 just to return and pick up the car we had already reserved and paid for. Extremely Disappointing Return Experience – Unprofessional and Rude Staff! I recently rented a car from Dollar / thrifty Car Rental, and my experience during the return process was absolutely terrible. It made me seriously question the professionalism and customer service standards of this company. On the day of return, I arrived on time, but there was no staff available to assist me. I had to wait for a long time before someone finally showed up. However, this employee sat inside a car playing on his phone, with his feet resting on the passenger-side airbag area—not only extremely unprofessional but also a serious safety concern. 0 stars! Do not use this company if you have an early morning flight. At my 3:30 AM scheduled return there was no one there, the gate was locked, and the sign said it didn’t open until 4. I tried looking for anybody that worked there to help, called the number on my reservation receipt, they didn’t open until 3:30 and I was a little early, but when they opened I was still on hold for 15 minutes and they kept telling me they do have after hours drop off, which I told them didn’t open until 4, which was not acceptable for my flight that boarded at 4:30.
