Last spring I took my 1998 Polaris sportsman into their shop to have the carburetor rebuilt and just overhaul to make everything run better. It sat there for 2 and 1/2 months till I finally went to check on it and they finally gave me an estimate for $1,000 to completely go through the carburetor and needed parts to get it running properly. When I finally went to pick it up a couple of weeks later. The mechanic started it and then found a crack in a sleeve going to the carburetor. He said he could not replace that because Polaris no longer made that part and that I could buy it and I could put it on myself buying it online.
