Tomcat Collision

I got my 20th anniversary edition Volkswagen GTI (2003) on new years day in 2006. I've had this car my entire adult life and have always been obsessed with it's color (they only made 1,000 in this Jazz Blue color). I wanted to do something to commemorate our upcoming 20th anniversary together so I decided to get a complete paint restoration (the body was faring very well for being a 22 year old car, but the clearcoat started peeling in the Grass Valley sun when I moved here a few years ago). I'd been looking around at different shops for a while, most of whom had this grave tone in their voices when they told me I might as well buy a new car if I wanted a paint job (um, what?). Until I went to Spotless Auto Detailing where the owner Brian Scott recommended I take it to Tomcat Collision.

I needed to get my seat belt replaced and when I called, they gave me a reasonable quote and got me on the schedule for Saturday. I was planning on waiting because I didnt have a ride home and the owner was kind enough to offer a vehicle if I needed to run errands. He was very hospitable and made me feel welcome. While they were fixing my seat belt he noticed one of the wires to my speaker box was almost severed off and offered to fix it free of charge! When I was checking out i wanted to give him extra for doing that and he refused. I will recommend Tomcat Collison to anyone who needs their car worked on. 10/10

Bill and the team took great care of me! My estimate from insurance was originally to use aftermarket parts but Bill put the foot down and said “no way, with a car this new you need OEM stuff” and he got me the OEM parts! He was very accommodating given my circumstances and went the extra mile to ensure I was taken care of. Cannot recommend Bill and his team enough!!

Skilled, efficient, honest, communicative, reasonably priced. This business has your back, which I feel is a rare thing in this industry. He really worked on my behalf with my insurance company, who ultimately ended up screwing me over and denying my claim. Bill helped me to navigate that situation and I am immensely grateful to him. Tomcat Collision was referred to me by my insurance company after I had a rear end collision with an oak tree. I called them and they made the arrangements to have the car towed. Bill kept me updated on the progress of the work being done and was so helpful. When the repairs were completed, my car was delivered to my front door. Who does that nowadays?
