Tony's Brake & Alignment

I have a 1969 dodge camper special (pick up truck) and Tony’s is one of the only places that knows how to service these! I had a problem where they don’t make the tires anymore and my truck (with a flat tire) ended up being at Tony’s for way longer than I expected but Randy found tires that would work and actually looked like the same style as the 1969 tires but much safer. I really appreciate the way they worked with me!

The worst place to take your vehicle, they try to make up stuff on your car that doesn’t need replacing so they can mark up your bill. Drove two and a half hours to go to this shop that I was referred to from a guy that has a shop in Louisville for an alignment on my 73 Camaro and they tried to tell me I needed a steering gear box and a ball joint. The kicker was he couldn’t do the alignment because the bolt that holds the shims was spinning and they wanted to tack wield it so the guy doing the alignment didn’t need another wrench to hold the bolt on the inside of the a-frame and he told me I would have to pay extra for a second guy to hold it to break it loose. I Wouldn’t Let This Shop Work On My Bicycle. They couldn’t make enough money on just an alignment so they make stuff up to screw

Husband brought his Camaro up here. Drove 124 miles only to have the mechanic try to upsell a ball bearing (he is a 20 year master mechanic!!) that was JUST replaced AND spline bolts (the bolts on the car are standard) or they refused to do the alignment UNLESS we paid for 2 mechanics--one to hold the bolt and the other to "break loose." My husband understands trying to upsell BUT this is bordering on bait and switch (yes, we can do your alignment, drive 124 miles one way, then try to sell a "2 person alignment, ball joint, and spline screws for more money." BEWARE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A CLASSIC CAR!!! Check what they are charging you for and GET A 2ND OPINION

I am giving them a 1 because I do not want to discredit their great customer service, but when it comes to the mechanic work, it is an absolute 0! I had to take my car back to Tony’s 4 times and each time, the customer service was excellent. However, I am having issues again with the same problems that I originally took it to Tony’s for. I had to take my car back to Tony’s four times to fix the same problems, and now I have an appointment to take my car to the dealership to get the problem fixed correctly after paying almost $ 2,000 to Tony’s. This was a nightmare and a waist of my money and time. This was the 1st and last time doing business with them. I am truly concerned because this is a safety issue especially when people drive daily. The crew at TBA is top-notch. I have a vehicle at six years old and I keep maintenance and upkeep as a priority. I’ve been to four other shops in the last year And all were a letdown and didn’t meet expectations. I’ve been to TBA three times and all of the visits have exceeded my expectations. The group does a very good job of communicating. They all have very deep understanding of vehicle mechanics and maintenance so they share that information very well. In addition, they have been very upfront about the pricing. On one of my three visits I actually went to TBA thinking I was going to need shocks and struts, but instead of selling them to me, they told me I did not need them!
