My brakes were making funny noises here and there on my trip down from Indiana, and I just figured I would need some new pads. On my way to my best friends house, it started to sound like multiple people were running their fingers down a chalkboard. So my friend called around for quotes and talked to someone from Topline. I called back and talked to Gwen and told her I would bring my car in to put these brakes out of its misery. Gwen told me to drop it off, and they would give me a call when it was done. Victor from Topline Tires & Auto Center called me today - Nov. 4 - to apologize two weeks after I had left a review about their having been "too busy" to check out my 2004 Mercury Sable at a specific time on Oct. 21 to find out where an oil leak was occurring. I would have had to leave it there for an indefinite time before it would have been checked. And then I would probably have had to leave it again for an indefinite time if I had taken it there to be repaired. This occurred after they had done an oil change on my car on Oct. 18, cleaned it's engine, and put dye in the engine so they could tell where the oil leak was occurring that was causing a Low Oil Pressure warning to come on periodically. Had my A/C repaired 6/1/2024 and they did fabulous work, no complaints. Fast forward 14 months later and having issues again. Scheduled my vehicle and took it in 8/1/2025. No call with estimate 8/1/2025 so I called 8/2/2025 and they will not be able to look at it today either. Now I have another week of driving in this brutal Florida weather before I have another day off work to get it in somewhere else. If you are that busy, be honest and give the consumers the opportunity to make other arrangements.

All I needed was a simple tire patch. They said sure no problem and I left the tire. 5 minutes later they called me back to the shop trying to tell me that the tire was ruined and that I need a new tire. They showed me some rubber shaving inside the tire and that was their proof that I had ruined the tire by driving on it flat. It's a brand new tire and I never drove while flat. The shavings were actually from me previously trying to fix the tire with plugs that wouldn't hold. I took it to the next place down the street and they had it fixed and back on the road in 15 minutes. For cheaper too. These places try to take advantage of people to get you to buy more than you need. If they would of just patched the tire, they would of gotten money for that and a future customer next week
