I came in expecting professional diagnostics but instead was advised to replace parts one by one with no guarantee the check engine light would be resolved. On my first visit, I was told to replace an oxygen sensor for about $700 even after I explained that I had already replaced one and the issue remained. I was assured that using an original Toyota sensor would fix the problem. It didn’t. On the second visit, I was told it might be wiring ($500) or possibly the ECM ($1,100) again with no certainty that either would solve the issue. I took my car in for its first service and expected my multi-point inspection to go smoothly. Check in was easy and straightforward. I was welcomed with a smile. The waiting area was clean and quiet so I was able to get work done while I waited. After an hour my car was ready, great. When I finally arrive home I check under my hood because of past experiences at other places and find they did not complete the multi point inspection as expected including topping off fluids. If some of the most simplest tasks are not completed how can you trust any work is actually completed on your vehicle. It's a shame that google doesn't allow a ZERO star review...My recent experience at this Toyota dealership's service center is a stark reminder of why consumers often distrust dealership repairs. I will not be returning. I brought my Highlander in because the temperature sensor was erroneously indicating an overheated engine immediately upon starting. The dealership diagnosed the issue as rodent damage to exhaust heat management wires, claiming a complex repair due to their supposed location deep under the engine, and charged me $570. Long waits, unfriendly staff, no shuttle service most days. Unlike other Toyotas who call you an Uber or Lyft this dealership has one person who takes one person at a time to a destination, every time you go to use it they're "already busy". This place is a poor representation of Toyota and needs new management unfortunately. Danvers and Woburn Toyota are great, try these instead.
