Toyota Service - Joe Machens Service Center

Joe Machens Service department is a joke!!! They do not listen to the customer and dont know what they are doing. I will drive out of state to go to a Toyota dealership before I ever go back to Machens.

All of the service advisors are always helpful & polite & professional. The building & bathroom are always clean & stocked. The snack bar/drinks are always stocked and available. Quality work.

Had a fabulous purchasing experience but I cannot say the same for the service. I purchased the extended warranty and service plan (Toyota Care+) and numerous times had to remind them I was covered for oil changes and tire rotations up to 75k miles. I waited for each service for more than an hour and a half, sometimes pushing three hours. Service writers are nice, but some are not trained well as they’ve tried to charge me for services I should not have to pay for under my warranty, causing more time spent at the dealership.

They totally exceeded my expectations. My wife girl home on a Friday and we found a nail in one of the 4 brand new tires we had just purchased less that 2 weeks ago. I called up their service center to ask if I could swing by within the next 24 hours to get it taken care of. To my surprise they said come on by today. This was around 4pm on a Friday. Long story short, they got us and replaced the tire and got us on the road in time to make our 6pm soccer game. Many thanks to Terry P. in the service department. I witnessed him juggling multiple customers that afternoon, making each of feel important and well served. This gentleman is the epitome of customer service. Great job.

Two truly terrible experiences with the Machens Toyota Service Department. First a scheduled 5,000 mile tire rotation. Made an 8am appointment and waited 2.5 hours. The second, a scheduled 10,000 mile oil change and tire rotation. After waiting over 4 hours my husband finally inquired about the progress on my oil change and was told they had not even started on it and it would be another hour before they could get to it. They took zero accountability for the lengthy wait and never apologized. I could not wait 8 hours and had to leave without any work completed. After purchasing a brand new vehicle from Machens, I had hoped they might at least honor the appointment time they scheduled but they truly are not concerned about their customers. Don’t make appointments if you can’t do the work at
