Trans Fix

I got my transmission serviced. It wA done right away and actually took less time than I was told. The men who work there are both VERY nice. I feel Augusto did a good job. He is very professional. Also, his charge was a couple hundred dollars less than the dealership. And at 152,000 miles it was so nice to find out there are no issues with my transmission. I also learned how often I need to have that service done.

Dropped the truck on a Monday and was told it would be ready by Friday. Got a rental car and on Friday no truck he said he needed to get the torque converter I could of drove to Portland if that’s what he needed but no contact so now it’s Monday still nothing no calls from them now it’s Friday a week later no truck still paying for the rental now I hear it’s going to be even longer.3/7/25 more to follow

We took our transmission to Trans Fix after rebuilding our truck engine because we were taking a road trip to Rhode Island & back for our daughter’s graduation. Our transmission did not have any issues, we thought since we rebuilt engine, the transmission should be rebuilt for the long trip. He promised it would be rebuilt in 3 weeks. 3 weeks passed we called on the Friday after 3 weeks & he promised it would be done the following Tuesday. Tuesday came & went, no call! We called him again on Wednesday & he promised it would be done on Friday. Friday came & went, no call! We went to the shop on the following Monday & he again promised it would be done this Friday. My Jeep Liberty had been leaking transmission fluid for almost two years. Don't ask me how it hadn't failed yet...I kept it topped off as best I could. I had taken it to a place in Bandon, and another in Coos Bay. Both places said they 'fixed it' by replacing the cooling line which they were both convinced was the issue. The leak continued. I took it back to the place in Coos Bay a second time, they said they didn't tighten the connector enough. Still, more leaking. Finally took it to Trans Fix. They took a while, but they found the issue. A small crack in the dedicated trans cooler that was only visible after removing the front grill. None of the other shops bothered to look this far.
