Transmission

I used Atlantic to rebuild my transmission back in 2021. Becky seemed nice and was helpful throughout the process. Mark, the same. The truck seems to work better at first, however the first time I towed with it, it went into a protective mode. After figuring out how to get the truck back to them, they had said it was due to not having enough fluid in it. Trucks was used sparingly over the next 2 years but eventually tasked with towing a moving trailer across state lines, began slipping and shifting funny. The truck was taken in to a tech in Virginia and they recommended and transmission rebuild due to the damage caused from the transmission being grossly overfilled. Stay AWAY From this company I had (2) horrible experiences with Mark at Atlantic Transmission. Please do your research. His horrible reviews speak for themselves. check out the BBB & Facebook, My experience was so terrible, I refuse to deal with him with my warranty. I now have to get an inspection done to check his work & make sure he actually did the repairs he claims to have done. since my car is worse now then before i brought it to him. My vehicle was only having small issues when I brought it to him. Mark stated I needed a transmission rebuild at 66,000 miles. that price doubled 2 times before I picked up vehicle, then after repairs we broke down 7 times. We have been using Atlantic for years (many cars) and highly recommend their services! Becky is wonderful and goes above and beyond to help us! Chris the mechanic really knows his stuff and is honest, reliable and does a great job! Mark the owner is also a good guy, he always steps in and calls directly to explain what needs to be done. Any time I call, Becky will order parts in advance, make sure Chris is aware and more times than not, gets my car back to us the same day. Overall, they are affordable, knowledgeable and fast! Good and trustworthy mechanics are hard to find but this group is the real deal!

3rd time at Atlantic Transmission. ALL positive experiences. Of course who can live without their car? We had it towed over the weekend and reached out first thing Monday morning. We had an analysis of the problem & estimate by early in the day. .Parts were ordered and vehicle back in business within 48 hours. Life goes back to normal. Great to have a company that meets their commitments with pleasant and professional ways. Pricing was fair - realistic. THANK YOU !!.

Atlantic Transmission is the WORST mechanic I ever used in my entire life. The transmission on my Mercedes Benz died after 168,000 miles, so I called Atlantic Transmission, and Becky answered. She told me to bring the car in for a "free estimate." I took it in and asked Mark, the owner, to assess the transmission and give me his honest opinion on whether the car was worth fixing. I explained that I was debating whether to fix the transmission or buy a new car. I then asked him for a ballpark estimate of the cost to fix my transmission, both the best-case and worst-case scenarios. Mark's initial quote was "between $1,800 and $3,500."
