Transomatic of Des Plaines

Our 2002 Explorer was having some transmission issues and a friend told us about Transomatic. They will actually let you know about your problem before just throwing parts at it. Unfortunately the explorer needed a rebuild, but they didna great job and the price was very competitive. Nice to have a good trans shop not that far from us.

My clutch was getting stuck to the floor so I had the master cylinder and slave cylinder replaced and the car feels brand new and drives great. Quality work and nice people would most definitely recommend anyone to go here! Thank you guys

I needed my transmission fixed as control panel went bad. I went on google and found Transomatic. Reviews were great. I took the car in for a free evaluation as I did not know what was wrong. Dominic was amazing. He was honest and was able to fix my daughter's car quickly. He was able to fix in house without needing GM which kept the cost down. I highly recommend using Transomatic for your repairs! Honest, fair, trustworthy!!!

I went to this place on a recommendation from another place bc of a possible transmission problem even tho the sound was coming from the wheel. I was told to bring it in at 8am. I did and the front desk guy had his mechanic take it on a test drive so we could point out the sound. They took it in for further diagnosis, that’s when things got bad. First they didn’t even get it on a lift til 4pm, they close at 6. I had to call at 5:45 to find out it had to stay overnight and they didn’t even know what was wrong. Dominic said he would test drive it himself either at closing or when they come in, only for me to call at 11am the next morning to find out the car hadn’t been touched at all. Their communication was absolutely terrible. Worst service I’ve ever had, I absolutely do not recommend this
