Trantham's Service Center & Wrecker Service

I have used this shop many times over the years, and never (I don't like to use the word never) was disappointed. I had a clutch put in my Honda Civic Si, air conditioning taken care of, oil change, and even reset the oil life gauge, installed new starter, removed a nail, tires rotated and many others. I have used Trantham’s Automotive several times in the past without issue, but my most recent visit was unacceptable. I initially took my car in for stalling, hesitation, and panel lights cutting out. After keeping it for several days, they told me they could not diagnose anything without an active check engine light. When I returned with the light on, they informed me I had major transmission problems and recommended another shop. I sought a second opinion at the dealership, where I learned the only issue was a dirty battery connection. Once cleaned, all symptoms were resolved. Trantham’s also attempted to charge me for an incorrect diagnosis, including recommending new spark plugs that had already been replaced. Horrible service! Booked an Appointment a week ago for a job that was predicted to take under 2hrs. The point of an appointment is that time is scheduled for your vehicle. This was not the case, I called soon after dropping off my vehicle to get an ETA as to when it would be finished. I was immediately hung up on. I called back and spoke with a man who immediately told me to just come pick my car up if I'm going to "act like this". Asking for an estimated time of completion so that I can schedule my day accordingly is not unreasonable, being refused service because I asked for a time is poor customer service especially for an appointment that was scheduled a week in advance. Any car shop I've dealt with could give me an estimated time especially if we already know what the issue is and it'
