I am not sure why I keep bringing my car here for service. I was trying to make things easier and more convenient by coming here for everything since I am a Hyundai owner. Every time I am here, it is a fiasco. The last time, a few weeks ago, I was in for the anti-theft software update that should have taken 30 minutes to an hour. I was here for FOUR hours. Yes, the place had a power surge while I was waiting due to bad weather but still. If I have an appointment and am here on time, get my car back and working on it! Today, I am here for an oil change, tire rotation, balance and alignment. My appointment was at 8:30. I was here at 8:15....it's now 11:45. So three and a half hours. I started looking out the service window and watched my car just sit with the wheels off and stacked behind it

My family and I were recently traveling from Louisiana back home to Huntsville, Alabama, when we encountered a serious issue with our 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The car inexplicably wouldn't allow us to pump gas, leaving us stranded and worried about reaching our final destination. Worst car service experience I have ever had to deal with. They “fixed” my engine and battery out about a month ago, but my car’s condition worsened. I called for them to fix it and they are not willing to accommodate to anything. They never pick up my phone calls. I even had to call Tuscaloosa SALES to transfer me to SERVICES and said there was someone there to pick up my calls, but they send me straight to voicemail. It cost me $1400+ to fix my car just for them to mess my car up even more.
Do not come here if you are a woman. Plain and simple. I initially didn't feel compelled to write a review after washing my hands of the Tuscaloosa Hyundai Service Center and swearing never to return, but after seeing other reviews touching on this aspect of things over here (and after months of waiting for my anger to subside with no avail), this feels long overdue. Aside from my negative experience with the incompetent mechanics, who failed to even look at or diagnose my car until several months AFTER my appointment date (requiring me to use an external rental car service for the entire duration), I was treated with disrespect time and time again from the staff at this location. I think most dealership service departments have a reputation for being absolute rip-offs, this place takes the cake. They gave my (elderly) MIL an estimate of over $3,000 to fix her car; we urged her to take it elsewhere. Sure enough, Tuscaloosa Hyundai had misdiagnosed the problem; the real solution was a $700 fix. The most recent issue was a recall notice on my (elderly) MIL's car. She scheduled the repair well in advance of her appointment, and when she got there, she was told that it would take 2-3 days to get the car back to her because they had to order the part. That's right -- a recall notice, scheduled the appointment a week in advance, and they hadn't even ordered to part.
