UCars Rideshare Rental - Dallas

It is absolutely not worth the rental, especially if you have your own vehicle(s). 2023 Malibu (161,000+ miles) was advertised as $250 per week but once in the office it is $409 per week. I was charged for tolls I did not take with a fee of $6 included. Takes at least 5 hours for oil change. Office Manager (Mario) was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unsympathetic while on the phone, but in person that same energy is non-existent. He likes to remind paying customers that he owns those cars but in reality UCar owns them. I hurt his feelings with that, so he demanded the contract be cancelled and car be returned. By doing that, he had to waive the return fee, prorate unused days, and return deposit immediately leaving a remaining balance that was at $800 to a mere $195.80. After th

THIS Picture IS THE OLD Ucars facility in Plano. Used to rent only Prius. NO PHONE available at new location in Irving. New managementz/ owner bumped up my rental fee $100 upon arrival to pickup a Versa. Never going back!!! If 0 stars were possible that would be my choice.

While pricey, this place has been a total lifesaver for me. The people who work in the physical building have always been very helpful and friendly. Calling the helpline can be hit or miss, but I am typically taken care of.

I didn't rent with them super long but my experience was really good and NO this is not a fake review. I'd like to say that it's not necessarily an ideal option in the sense that you really are paying a lot per week; however, if you don't have a car and you want to drive a newer model vehicle why not give it a try. The best way to come on top is to drive a good amount of time so you can come out ahead after you deduct the weekly fee and the gas you will pay. If you are going to drive part-time it may not be the best option for you. I will add that of the three vehicles I rented the last one did have high mileage but it drove well and if anything needed repaired (for me it was a headlight) or if you needed to take it in for an oil change it went smoothly with the exception of the wait tim
