Unique Paint and Body and Collision, Inc

I brought my 1970 Ford F-100 to Lonnie Unique Paint and Body on May 20th 2015 for an estimate. The bumpers were off, the grill was out, lights were out. I had already sanded 99% of the body to bare metal applied metal primer and primer. The body had rust holes in the most typical areas. Lonnie told me the truck was in really good shape and there wasn’t alot of rust on the truck since I exposed it for him to see. I said I wanted him to Bondo the dents and paint it green/white. Don’t paint the jambs or doors. I’ll reassemble it. I just want a daily driver. He said, “That’s not the kind of work I do. When I finish a vehicle it leads back to me. I’ll tell you what. I’ll make all the repairs with steel panels, paint it two colors with a polyurethane paint, AND put the truck back together for $4

We took our vehicle in to have work done on power doors. The actual work done was very good. My issue was with the lady in the office who i felt was very misleading and deceptive. She became aggressive when I tried to get specific information like number of hours involved or price per hour. At one point the bodyman gave us an estimate for labor and when he finished he added an extra $800. We were also told that if we wrote a check we were not going to be charged sales tax but if we used credit card we would. That sounded very dishonest to me. Would never recommend them to anyone or will I ever go there again.

Felt they were honest and fair. Cheapest in town with lots of noted experience. Took me back to work after dropping off my car, which helped me a lot. Competed in time frame stated. They even vacuumed my car! Awesome personable people and family owned business! Thank you Unique!

I have been to Okeechobee many times and I stay there occasionally and love the place. Everywhere I have been treated good with the real "Chobee love" but when I called this place about some work done on my car I was treated like poison. The woman was mean and no matter how I described the situation with the car we need to be fixed she did not want to listen. Based on the first phone call and the treatment I got I will NEVER deal with this "unique" paint and body and collision place unless they ask for forgiveness.

They ruined my stereo lost my rearview mirror and did not seal the back hatch and water got in mr stero components - do not pay them with cash
