Value Plus Auto & Van Rental

I went here to rent a U-Haul in the process was pretty smooth the cashier or the attendant rather was very personable and helpful I had a love seat in the back of my truck with the tailgate down which prevented me from hooking up the U-Haul but he helped me take it out of the truck bed and loaded into the U-Haul then connected the U-Haul for me which was great. We then tested the lights and made sure that I was road ready and off I went. The return process was even smoother!

We reserved a van from the company website and received confirmation. When we arrived at the location to pick up the rental and were told that the on line reservations do not transmit to the in store system and the pricing offered on the website is different from what the cost actually is. We were told that what was initially supposed to be $500 was going to be closer to $1000 after the deposit and that there was a charge of $0.35 per mile over 100 miles. This business is a clear bait and switch. We will be contacting the BBB.

We had a breakdown in a van( no one’s fault). They made it right. Totally will continue to use them.!!!

My husband and I traveled from East Peoria,IL on our way to Milwaukee, WI for a concert. 2 hrs in to our 3.5 hr commute the suspension dropped on our front wheel tire and we were stranded. Tireless efforts to find transportation and rental Value Plus stayed late that day for us so that we could get a car and make our destination. Value plus was the only car rental open on Saturday after 2 pm!

Stay far away from this company, they have idiots working there that do not do their job. They will say they will extend your rental when they actually do not and then they report the truck stolen and they keep charging your bank account when they are not suppose to. They also say you drop it off somewhere other tjst the location you picked it up from when you actually did drop it off where you picked it up from. I will never use this company again. They falsely charge and they do not know what they are doing. Terrible customer service as well. I have never had a problem with the actual company U-Haul but the cub contractor Value Plus out of Rockford is an absolute horrible company and the truck that I got was not clean and the odometer kept blinking and missing numbers and the mileage is
