Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I went around 12 which I thought would be busy bc of lunch breaks but I didn’t have to wait at all. They took me in immediately. I’ve been before so they knew which oil I needed. The tech introduced himself. Luis the manager. He was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I was way overdue so opted to pay the $20 for the conditioner as well as the oil. They did the lights checks. Checked the filters. Normally I would not have changed the cabin filter. However when he looked, there was blood on it and he found a dead mouse back there. He took care of it for me. He also showed me how and where to apply coupons. Overall he was very helpful and I was in and out. I enjoy the Monroe location and will continue to go back.

Going to the Valvoline in Monroe is truly a great experience from start to finish. The mechanics working here are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. You feel confident in the advice you are given about maintaining your vehicle because they take the time to correctly explain things that most people don’t understand about cars. Some the of mechanics I’ve worked with are, Joshua, Allen, Melvin, Lewis, and Tony. They have all been excellent. I highly recommend getting your car maintained at this location. Bonus… they are opened on Sundays :)

usually a good friendly place to get a quick oil change and usually no pressure to purchase anything other than what you came for however, there seems to be confusion when there are two lines to get in, so we pulled up to a second bay and we were going to be next, the tech came out and pointed to a car in the other lane and said he was here first so we obliged and switched lanes to get in the other line ,however, then the person who came after us ended up going in ahead of us in the lane we switched from,so why weren’t we allowed to go in first if the policy is whoever is there first gets to go in sooner it’s never been a problem before you pick a bay and sometimes you get lucky and it moves fast and sometimes the line you’re in has a car in the bay that that’s getting a lot of work done

This service was a replacement battery not an oil change. the problem was discovered at my last oil change two weeks ago at this location but I did not have time to take care of it then. the time it took to replace the battery was minimal. The staff was courteous, competent and friendly. When an issue occurred starting the car after battery replaced (it had no power) the problem was quickly diagnosed as the connecter was worn and did not make a good contact to the anode. The staff made some adjustments and problem was fixed. I was very pleased with this visit.

We've been going to the Valvoline in town since we moved here around 15 years ago. In that time, even through turnover, the techs are always very pleasant, quick, thorough, and when making suggestions for a particular service(s) are never pushy; only helpful. I always feel recognized and am always greeted with a "welcome back" vibe. And because I'm a loser, I actually felt guilty going to the dealership for a recall fix and got an oil change while there. LOL! High praise only for the Monroe, CT Valvoline.
