I’m happy to say we found one! Valvoline on Mt. Vernon Ave in Alexandria is truly exceptional. This was my first visit. The shop was busy, but the assistant manager came out to apologize for the wait, and they were able to get to me in just a few minutes. I was able to converse with him about the work and a few other things while the work was being done, and I left feeling confident I've found a reliable vendor for this aspect of my car care. Ricky was very professional along with his team member and very informative all throughout the entire process — he explained everything clearly and made sure I understood what was being done. I will never return to this Valvoline. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had getting an oil change. It started off friendly, but quickly became extremely concerning. During the service, it sounded like they were using a jackhammer on my brand-new 2025 Mazda Miata. The staff appeared unfamiliar with the vehicle—I repeatedly heard them asking each other where different components were located. When they attempted to reinstall the bolts, I could hear someone under the bay yelling that things “had to be lined up perfectly,” followed by loud snapping and banging noises that went on for about 10 minutes. After all of that, I was told that I supposedly drove in with a bolt missing, which I find very hard to believe given that my car is brand new with just over 7,000 miles. I asked
