Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Took an hour for an oil change, 45 minutes in the shop. Young man working on my car frequently checking his phone and struggling to get the work done. Seemed to be inexperienced and nobody anxious to help him. Finally someone else came over and quickly installed my oil filter for him. Seemed like there was only one person that knew what he was doing. Left after politely being cashed out I think they called it. Pulled out to the second traffic light down the highway to find smoke and stink of oil burning under the hood. Thought it was oil spilled on Engine and it would quickly go away so I kept going home. The crew was very helpful. The manager even went above and beyond by reconnecting my air conditioner drain tube, which had come loose and was leaking water onto the passenger-side floor, saturating my carpeting. The whole experience was friendly and efficient. Thank you!

The shop has traditionally been the place my family goes to get vehicle oil changed. But after this past Saturdar experience (January 3, 2026) we will find another vendor. Sent my 18 year old daughter to this Valvoline for a simple oil change. The manager and technician then tried to upsell her on needing a brake fluid fill ($80), then a need to flush the transmission ($100), need to replace the brake pads, need to replace the cabin air filter ($80) and need to replace the engine air filter. She was scared to drive the car at this point and as a father, I needed to talk her down and explain the unprofessional behaviors of some service shops. When she returned home, I checked the brake fluid…… It was fine. I checked the brake pads… They were also fine. I checked the engine air filter

Terrible experience. Workers were rude. I had to go back 3 times for them to shut off the notifications in my car. 1 notification was for tire pressure. They pretended to fill out and told me that they now charge $3.99 for air even though I’ve had all 3 cars serviced by them repeatedly for years. I ended up going to Take 5 immediately after and when they checked my tire pressure, it was low by 8 psi. So that confirmed that Valvoline did not actually check my tires. We will not be going back.

I was the only one there and it took an hour to get my oil change done. The young man who was working on my car told me the price of a light replacement would be $2.99 each. Then without telling me, tried to charge me $12.99 each. Also found out today that when he tried to check my cabin air filter, he disconnected my AC hose in the car so it had been leaking for a week and soaked the entire passenger side of my car. Im not one to write reviews ever but this just pushed me over the edge.
