Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Clowns did a radiator flush and fill and the tech thought the minimum level was the full level. Keep in mind we had temps of -20 the week I had it done. Thank goodness the dude at Costa oil caught it before it was too late. Returned back there to wait have them correct it and the tech was guessing if it was the right amount the whole time. A day later I had my buddy drain and refill it to manufacturer specs.....z like it should have been done in the first place! Would not ever go here again. Can't trust them! Double check your fluids folks if you go here. You've been warned!

They mispelled my name and entered the wrong email address for me. The printer wasnt working so they said they would email the receipt but had the wrong email so I didnt get receipt. I asked them to correct the email so I could get a receipt and they said they cant. The manager just sat in his cubicle and refused to offer help. Total screw up. Im very dissapointed by the way the manager just ignored the situation. He acted like a receipt is unimportant. If they cant even rectify a simple entry mistake and print a receipt, then you wonder how competent can they be working on your vehicle. Stay away from desplaines valvoline. I'll never go back.

My daughter took her car over to this place last week for a $100.00 oil change. We had thought the service covered checking all fluids. It appears it didnt. The brake fluid was down to close to the add level and after 2 days, her oil light came on after about 15 minutes into her drive to work. She took it to a repair shop and they hooked it up to the computer which stated the oil level was low. We checked it and It was 3/4 down. No sign of leaks. We added a quart to get her by and She called the "Hot Line". They told her to bring the car back to that location. She was hesitant as she didnt have the greatest experience there the first time! There was one closer to us but they were insistent that she bring it back to original store. She did, and as expected, they said everything was "fine".

Valvoline staff are the friendliest and very professional! I’ve been coming to this location in Des Plaines since I moved to the state and they’ve taken care of my 2 cars with great care and attention. They offer extra other services but they’re all for the benefits of a longer life for my car. Since they cost extra, they tried their best to give fair discount that’s both reasonable to business owners and customers. I feel glad to support their shop that genuinely cares to the community as well. They are already up and running way early by 8am to help ease our busy lives. Extra grateful to all the staff in this location. Thank you for keeping our cars safe. Thank you for saving lives!!

There were smiles all around with a fantastic work-ready attitude. Truly a Grade A team. I couldn’t ask for a better experience for myself and my vehicle.
