Valvoline Instant Oil Change

My wife took her vehicle here to have the oil changed to save me time as I normally do the oil changes in both our vehicles myself. She called me while there to say they had to evacuate the oil because there is no drain plug which after owning a couple F-150s with the same engine I knew was not true but figured they must normally do this so I told her to let them proceed. When she got home and got out of the vehicle, we realized there is oil all over the front fender and found some lovely oil spots on our garage floor the next morning. This is certainly not the level of expertise I would expect for paying $120 for an oil change which is more than double what it costs to change it myself. Both technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient with the services provided. I love how they are super upfront about what needs to be done and the pricing that corresponds with the service. I got an oil change, radiator serviced, new engine air filter put in and transmission fluid service. It seemed like I was only there for a total of 40 mins for all the services provided and I also appreciate that each step of the way they showed me the beginning product vs the end product after each repair was completed.

I just had my oil changed at this location and noted that the manager, Howard was having problems getting my air cleaner back on. I got out of my car to assist and noted that he was trying to force the filter into place, bending the filter. I advised him that he needed to unscrew the plenum tube to properly place the filter. Howard would only repeat that i needed to get back in my car. I told him that I was going to monitor until I was sure that it was replaced correctly and not bent up. Howard continued to tell me to get back in my vehicle. After he followed my instructions and placed the filter correctly I got back in my car. This was my first time at a Valvoline. My initial reason for going there was to just get an oil change. I was served by Roland who was so sincere in taking care of my needs but actually went above and beyond to make some recommendations, which I agreed to. He wasn’t trying to push any services but rather wanted me to be aware of some things that were needed. I only found out that he was the actual manager. Because of his respect towards me and my needs, I will be returning and recommending others to Roland. He is the only reason why I would return and not feeling pressured to do anything. You really don’t see this type of service anymore and I feel lucky to have found him at this location.

The technicians were very helpful, they checked all of my lights and blinkers to ensure they were working. They checked my filters to make sure that they weren’t clogged, and made a suggestion for one that needed to be changed. They were very nice and friendly. The oil change was very quick and I was in and out and about 15 minutes
