Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Not once, but TWICE in a row they only screwed 1 of 4 bolts back on skid plate cover. Left it hanging dragging on ground. I have seen MULTIPLE other reviews complaining about the same thing. These guys have ZERO clue what they are doing. Lazy and unprofessional. If they can’t even do something this simple I can only imagine all the other mistakes they must make. The average person wouldn’t even notice these things and that’s how they get away with it. STAY FAR AWAY!!

A week before the snowstorm, I got an oil change. The mechanic didn’t tighten the bolts on the skid plate correctly, so it came loose. When I drove through the snow, the skid plate dragged on the road and got damaged. I understand mistakes happen, but the mechanic should have been more careful.

I used to live right down the street from this location and have since moved- but come back because the men & women that work there are always so friendly and caring and honestly tell me what is wrong with my car or what needs attention and what can wait. They always go the extra mile and do things that are not part of the service purchased- e.g., cleaning drops of tree sap off my windshield after I purchased new window wipers.

The technician mistakenly (or perhaps knowingly) set the next oil change reminder for 3 months/3,000 miles, even though it’s always been set for 5,000 miles or 5 months—whichever comes first—for premium synthetic oil. When I pointed out the error, he said that next time I should tell the technician to set it however the customer wants. There was also an additional $10 charge for extra oil, which I’ve never seen before, and no explanation.

I arrived this morning at around 8:30 am and I was greeted by Daniel. He was very warm and friendly, not only to me but everyone he spoke with. I was given a choice of oil to choose from. After that he checked all the fluid levels on the car. Next he inspected the air filter took it out and showed me the condition of the filter and I could see that it needed replacing . I decided it was a good time to do it. While he was doing that someone was under the car removing the oil plug to drain the oil out. And unfortunately the last time the car was in for an oil change ( at a Pep Boys location), the plug was over tightened. They were able to replace the plug and washer. Daniel was kind enough to offer me a plug for the future but I declined at this time only because I will be replacing thi
