Velasquez & Son's Mufflers

Attention all my south suburban neighbors and friends please be careful or avoid taking your vehicle to Velasquez mufflers and brakes at 16200 A Halsted. I towed my vehicle there to get a full diagnosis and get work done and had it towed with a flatbed from Aaa and I met them there. I was quoted 540 for alternator with part and a diagnostic of 40$ total 580$. Upon picking up my car I was advised my key was misplaced ?!! I bought my car in on a Wednesday for a gas leak and was charged $150 for an inspection which i didnt care because I was told it would go toward the repair. I was contacted later that day and was told it was a gas leak and it shouldn't be much of a problem. The next day comes around and I didnt receive a call so I called for and update then they proceed to give me a quote for $1200. I then drove up there in another car to see what the problem was. Come to find out they cut the fuel pump lines and told me now I needed a fuel pump for $400 and 2 gas lines $100 apiece plus $600 in labor. So I said I would just buy my own parts and bring them so they can complete the job. 2 days later, the parts arrived and I bought them up there 8:15am on a Saturday. They put a after market part on my car and it wasn’t the right one so my car is still reading a engine code and after paying full price for service they told me if they can’t get it right then I will receive half of my money back and will still have to get it done by the dealer which is a inconvenience because I was trying to avoid them and still have to go there after paying these people already when they should’ve fixed it! Totally unacceptable smh
