I'm not particularly fond of the car buying experience. Having lived in the Sioux Falls area for many years, there aren't a lot of options. Typically you end up with the high volume dealer in the area, which likely contributes significantly to my distaste in the process. I decided a couple years ago to give Vern Eide a try. And while it took a little more time to find the vehicle I wanted and it added a bit of drive time. The experience was well worth it. It is my absolute pleasure to write this five star review to Vern Eide Chevrolet GMC dealership! A few weeks ago me and my family were traveling from Wyoming to the East Coast and unfortunately encountered a major problem with our DEF system that resulted in us being stranded in Mitchell SD, on a Friday at 4:30 in the afternoon. It wasn't clear what exactly the problem was, or if the dealership could even get the part in time, as we needed to be to our destination by a certain date that was quickly approaching. My wife and I were pretty stressed as we realized we were completely stuck at this point, and we had our baby and our great dane with us as well - without knowing where we were going to stay for the night or when we would be able to continue our travels. Chris Beringer was our salesperson and he was very thorough and extremely easy to work with. His knowledge of the vehicles, the features and benefits helped a lot. He made the purchase very easy and we left feeling we made a great decision. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a dealership. The rest of the staff and people we met were also very friendly and helpful. Top shelf experience for us.
