Vista Winds Assisted Living & Memory Care

My father has been a resident in the memory care unit going on 3 years. Many of the past reviews call out poor management and I will concur that the director that was there from August 2023-2024 was terrible! The current director, Jae, knows resident and family members by name. The staff on the Memory care unit are kind, caring and I appreciate all that they do for my father. The Resident Care Coordinator, Dani, follows up on email questions. I don’t think my father cares much for many of the menu choices, but that could be due to his dementia. Family involvement and advocacy is the key to quality care in ANY ENVIRONMENT. I feel for residents who don’t have family living near by to visit them. I would recommend any of the 3 facilities: independent, assisted living or memory care.

The staff is very caring and loving towards the people that they work with the kitchen staff. Is amazing, they are very particular on how they cook the food which makes it taste even that much more better and the managers are pretty understandable reasonable and very helpful towards the members and their staff.

My mother-in-law lived in all three sections of Vista Winds most recently in memory care. I would say the most important aspect to our family, aside from safety and medical, was the genuine care and love provided by the staff. We felt that genuineness from the top down, including the employees who work the front desk. JAE, the director in assisted and memory care, absolutely knows how to hire the right people.

Vista Winds is a beautiful place for Seniors to live. Kim Selzler is just a delight to work with, very helpful and it shows she loves what she does!

I would not place a loved one at this place!! A few of these good reviews are from employees that work there. My mom was in memory care from 1/23-3/24 and things really started going downhill last summer when they started losing key staff members. In one year they had a total transition of all relevant staff from the director, nurse, resident care coordinator, activities director, marketing manager, chef and a ton of caregivers. The new director doesn’t give a hoot about your family member. It’s a ghost town on the weekends with no upper management there. It’s incredibly difficult to get a hold of someone to find out how your loved one is doing at any time as no one will call you back or answer an email.
