Very poor experience. Was told pricing and rate info on the phone and when we got there, we were told something completely different. The pricing that had a red line through it on their website we were told was a “clearance price” on the phone but in person it was, in their explanation, just a “computer glitch”. Very untruthful dealership and was a waste of our time being there.

Went there later Saturday afternoon, my son's best friend needed a car that day,without fail. He found a very very nice used VW with low mileage and well taken care of. The sales associate Mohammed Habibi took very good care of us, and was able to make a deal to put my son's friend in the car the same day! I highly recommend that you seek out Mohammed Habibi for your next vehicle purchase! VW of Downtown Chicago is a nice place to shop for your next car!

Unfortunately, I will never go to this location again. Trying to buy a vehicle, an extremely unsatisfactory experience. The games that they play. First, trying to be your friend, several of these men walked up to you, asking all sorts of personal questions trying to be friend you and then When they wanted your money and make their sale, I was verbally abused, talked over many times and even told to sign a price of paper stating I would not put a review against them. WOW! What makes you think you can get away with this? Shame on you! Of course, I walked out. Buyers beware do not buy a used or new vehicle at this location. You will regret that you even walked in in the first place.

Will never go here again - went in for a simple gas door repair. During the diagnostics they told me I also needed a fuel filter exchange and brake fluid flushing. It had been awhile since I had my fuel filter exchanged so I told them to go ahead and do that. They quoted me $700 for the gas door so I deferred that service. I was told over the phone by Grant at Volkswagen that both the fuel filter service + the brake fluid would be $300. When I picked up my car they charged me $700 - and said that the fuel filter and brake fluid service were EACH $300, plus tax. This is not what I was told over the phone. They insisted that it was a miscommunication and “offered” to knock $100 off the total price. I explicitly was told that both services were $300 and that price was not honored, even after
