I used Volvo pit stop for a pre purchase inspection on a used Volvo I was looking to purchase in Burbank CA. I am long distance and didn't have the ability to look at the vehicle in person before purchasing it so I needed someone to help me make sure I would be purchasing a great vehicle and not a beater. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. My Volvo XC90 received some water damage during a storm that caused my logic board to fry and all of my safety systems to fail. I was looking for a shop that specialized in Volvos and found this one, and I am so happy that I did. Sam and Serly are the epitome of customer service. They both worked directly with my insurance to not only cover the logic board, but they did a thorough search and discovered a ton of other areas that had water damage that I never would have caught. They documented every item along the way, and constantly updated me with timelines as well as videos of their work and progress. All items were authentic Volvo parts which I appreciate. Sam is an exceptionally knowledgeable Volvo mechanic. He always takes the time to explain required repairs and service and shows you your old parts. He and his technicians are very thorough, and his prices are fair. Sam, his wife Shirley, and their team have my highest recommendation!

Sam is an absolute legend. I have a 95 Volvo 960 that I adore and never want to give up. I had 3 different shops tell me I likely had an impending head gasket replacement ahead of me after my car started running rough. Took it to Sam and got the correct diagnosis of power stage failure and had it fixed within 2 days saving me thousands of dollars. Shirley in addition was so kind and helpful every time I called. As long as I'm in the area, I can't imagine going to another shop. Do yourself a favor--if you have a classic volvo, go here and get everything done right by someone who knows these cars like the back of their hand and takes incredible pride in the work he does and making sure the customer understands and is on board throughout the process.
