Called Vortech multiple times spoke to them about the issues with their 2021 to 2022 Ford F-150 Vortec kit. They sent the kit with the wrong instructions which made a big difference because there are certain areas on the earlier F-150s that need to be cut and trimmed and different things that affect the install and create a headache when using those instructions. They also sent the wrong size belt even installing the belt exactly how the routing shows the belt was too short and we had to get a 1-inch longer belt to be able to work with the supercharger kit. Other issues that the shop ran into which I paid for this install at 150 per hour also the fitment was okay at best. don't get me involved with tuning of this truck I would not recommend Five Star Tuning it's taken almost 4 weeks and f

customer service is the absolute worst i have ever had. they sell "carb legal" kits that do NOT pass smog and refuse to help you with it. for being in california they obviously dont know anything about state laws and shouldn't be selling kits as legal if they arent willing to make it right when the state automatically fails you for having illegal software installed by VORTECH. besides that the supercharger is already super noisy with barely any miles on it. but no point in fixing it if you can't be legal with it after being guaranteed it is legal. stay far away from this company if you want to be able to register your car.

Ive always loved the vortech company. They have been a pleasure to deal with tech wise, But i purchased a V3 Si kit in may 2016. After a summer of driving the impeller seal had started to leak towards november. Took the car off the road, blower off the car and sent it back january 2017. They fixed it, sent it back to me, and I reinstalled it on the car. I registered the car late may 2017 and drove it until october 2017 until i realized the impeller seal was leaking so bad again that i had to stop using the car. They told me i would have to send it back, and pay $400 to have the same seal installed that failed me twice in a row already and have no warranty on the repair. Obviously theres something seriously wrong with the unit if it has had 2 impeller seals leak in a year of drive time and

I called customer support and Bryan picked up and was extremely helpful. Gave me many options and was patient even when I had to recall multiple times because new problems arose😭

Going to manufactures or places where R&D take place is always great. Most people in the car industry are enthusiast, so it makes those trips that much better.
