Walmart Auto Care Center

Two days ago I got an oil change at Walmart. Soon after, a strong burning-oil smell grew worse and the engine sounded louder. Today I nearly choked on the fumes. Back at the center, they found the technician never replaced the oil capan unprofessional mistake that could have ruined the engine.

I regularly come to walmart to get my oil changed and they are normally quick and efficient. i had an appointment scheduled from 3:30pm-4:30pm and when i arrived at 3:20 there was a high volume of cars so i knew it would take longer than normal but i wasn’t checked in until almost 4pm and it is now 6pm and the service to my vehicle hasn’t even been started. i don’t understand the point of an appointment system if it doesn’t matter and they just follow who gets there first. The staff is wonderful and i know they work with what they have so it’s definitely disappointing for such a big corporation to not even be able to stick to appointment times.

No frills, no nonsense. They don’t try to upsell you like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. I was able to do my shopping and they had me back on the road in about 15 minutes. It does get busy so I suggest you go early. Otherwise you might be in line for a while. That’s a good sign.

Had an 8:30 appointment scheduled in advance last week for an oil change. Even with proof of booking they couldn't find our appointment, and didn't pull our car in for service until 9:30. Annoying service but that wouldn't be the end of the world or worth reviewing. What is worth reviewing is that they didn't properly put our skid plate back and we saw it hanging under our car this morning. My husband also mentioned that someone in line in front of him was talking to them about tires they ordered there and was scheduled to have put on his car. They couldn't find them and couldn't figure how to find his info either.

Waited 2hrs for an oil change that I had an appointment for at 2 pm didn't get out of there til 530 cause the cashier sent me to the wrong line. Not many English speaking workers there so I couldn't make them understand I had a 2 pm appointment and was put in the wrong line.
