I’ve been getting my oil changes done at Walmart because it’s practical and convenient. The appointment system makes scheduling easy, the service is usually faster than many other places, and the pricing is affordable — which is especially important for me as a Turo host managing multiple vehicles and operating on a schedule. However, there is one important detail worth mentioning respectfully. On several occasions, the correct oil filter for my vehicle was not available at the time of my appointment. The didn’t put back the clippers for the under carriage. And my wife almost got into accident because of it. You have to be high or drunk or careless or all 3 at the same time to miss the clippers for the undercarriage which is simplest part of oil change. I don’t even trust that they even change the oil properly for her. 😡 She had to pull over on the side of highway and get on her chest and close it with her charging cable so she could go to work. 😠 They put 1-3 clippers back on instead of all of them. First and last oil change at Walmart.

1/20/26 I usually have good experiences at this Walmart Auto Care Center. The prices are reasonable, service is typically quick, and it’s conveniently close to home. Today, I had an 11:30 AM appointment and arrived on time, but was informed they were out of oil filters for Asian vehicles and couldn’t service my car. The technician mentioned they had been directing customers to another nearby Walmart. I understand that running out of supplies can happen. I just wish there had been some communication beforehand, such as a call or text, so I could have planned accordingly. Last Saturday I went to my oil change appointment bright and early at 7:30am. While I was about to drive off I noticed something laying on the floor of the passenger side that looked like it came off of my vehicle so I went to ask one of them what it was and find out what happened. They explained to me it was called a “skip tray” that covers the oil filter and it wasn’t attached to anything and just fell off. I don’t know much about cars so I was freaking out a little bit because if it’s something that’s supposed to be there I wanted it put back on and I was a little annoyed that it was just laying on the floor in my vehicle with no explanation and the fact I had to get out and go ask them about it to begin with. Never really understood why does it take them one hour to do a 10 minute oil change. And this is after the car is pulled in the bay. These technicians have no sense of urgency or time at all.
